ecoldfromLNGre-gasicationatUKimportterminalswouldcuttheelectricityrequiredforairliquefactionbyalmost60andcostsbyhalf.AstheworldwakesuptotheprospectofLNG-fuelledeconomiesdoesthiswidenthewindowofopportunityforliquidairasanenergyvectorJuly201331HOTTOPICMyguesswouldbethatenergystorageinconjunctionwithrenewablesforwrong-timeenergystorageisaveryrealpossibility...belowattributablecostthatmakesitinterestinginascenariowherewasteheatorlow-gradeheatisalsoavailable.Thereisenergytoberecoveredleftoverfromgrossenergyalreadyexpendedforotherpurposesandtypicallylowgradeheatavailablefromalternativeenergyroutes.Thislattersourcegivesthesubjectresonance.Heresavalue-addedactivityacomingtogetherofenergysourcesthathavesynergisticattributesthesumismorethantheparts.BeholdtheNitrogenEconomy.Anotherquestionconcernstheimpactofliquidaironnitrogenasaproduct.Whileitistruethatthereiscurrentlysurplusproductinthemarketatpresentitischallengedwhethernitrogenwouldnolongerbejusttheby-productthatitisnow
